For our client a management – consultancy organization, we are looking for an interim Internal Financial Officer. Amsterdam Area | Start asap | 24 h.p.w. | Duration ca. 4 months | International environment | Hybride working will be possible after starting period | Hourly rate t.b.d..

The role

In this organization (they serve around the 80 clients) active within PE firms, you are responsible for the strong accounting and reporting function, including overseeing and monitoring an effective control environment.

This role is proces driven, particularly for tasks such as preparing management reports, budget reports, forecasts, cost analysis reports, P & L statements, financial statements as well as making recommendations for improvements.

The Financial Officer is a key figure between the management team and the operations of various business lines.

Key tasks:

  • Responsible for overseeing the bookkeeping of the group
  • Preparation of management reporting
  • Preparation of annual accounts
  • Providing liquidity forecasting and cash management
  • Drawing up budgets
  • Preparing and filling of VAT returns
  • Ensure ERP software of AFAS is properly set-up for efficient and effective bookkeeping and reporting
  • Close collaboration with the management team
  • Manage creditor payments and cash management


  • Experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of AFAS
  • Dutch native speaker
  • Experience in an international environment (English on professional level)
  • Experience within Trust Companies is a big plus
  • Solid knowledge of Dutch GAAP
  • Advanced education within Accountancy/BA
